    New Load Restrictions in Effect for Brass Point Bridge

    Parks Canada has advised that the load rating for vehicles on two bridges – Brass Point Swing and Brass Point Fixed – are being reduced from 15 tonnes to 10 tonnes effective mid-May, 2024. These bridges are located on Burnt Hills Road and connect the Township of South Frontenac with the City of Kingston.

    The station is located at 4252 Stage Coach Road and is a medium scale fill station ideal for residents, businesses and farmers who want potable water filled in containers typically of 1,000 litres or less.

    Solar Eclipse Update - March 25, 2024

    On Monday, April 8, 2024 our region will experience a total solar eclipse, a once in a lifetime event. It will last about 2 ½ hours, starting shortly after 2 pm until 4:30 pm. The total eclipse when the sun will be completely blocked by the moon and the earth in complete darkness will last 3 minutes from 3:22 pm to 3:25 pm here in South Frontenac.     The Private Lane Upgrade Assistance Program provides grants for residents who live on private lanes to upgrade their lane to improve access for emergency vehicles. Applications are now being accepted for 2024.
