The washroom facilities at Gilmour Point Beach will be closed until further notice due to vandalism. Recreation and Facilities will place a portable washroom at the beach for public use until the facilities can be properly cleaned and plumbing can be replaced.

The Council of the Township of South Frontenac will hold a Public Meeting on the Closure of the Unopened Road Allowance. The Township proposes to pass a by-law to stop up, close and transfer ownership of one portion of unopened road allowance.

Municipalities across Frontenac County and the City of Kingston have declared Open Farm Days from August 16 to September 30. Six weeks of public events and experiences are scheduled beginning with an August 16 launch event at Frontenac Farmers Market.

Maintenance work is being planned this fall for the Pleasant Valley Municipal Drain, a municipal drain built in 1985 that starts in Hartington and drains southwesterly for 6.4 kms towards Petworth Road to the Napanee River. Members of the public are invited to a public meeting to learn more.
