Stormwater

The Consolidated Linear Infrastructure Environmental Compliance Approval (CLI ECA) program is an opportunity for municipalities to approve low-risk infrastructure on behalf of the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) while ensuring consistent requirements for environmental protection are met. On September 16, 2022, the Township of South Frontenac received its first Municipal Stormwater Consolidated Linear Infrastructure Approval.

South Frontenac owns and operates a stormwater management system that consists of approximately 11 kms of underground stormwater collection pipes located in the settlement areas of Inverary, Perth Road, Battersea, Hartington, Bellrock, Harrowsmith, Sunbury, Sydenham and Verona. The system also includes various numerous stormwater treatment systems that include mechanical treatment units and stormwater pond facilities.
