Snow Social 2025

Join us for the third Snow Social! This event is a celebration of the winter season and will feature activities at The Point Park and throughout the village of Sydenham, just 20 minutes north of Kingston. Admission is free however donations will be gratefully accepted. This is an all-weather event. Visitors should dress like a well-prepared Canadian and plan to take part in all sorts of winter fun including snow tubing (conditions permitting) and firepits. We will have a vendor’s market, lots of live music, kids activities, and SNOW much more!

Fun for the whole family!

Sydenham Village is just a short drive from Kingston. Take Sydenham Road north and turn left on Rutledge Road.

Parking information

Parking on village streets is not permitted! The horse drawn wagon rides need enough room to get around, so please refrain from parking on the streets. There is lots of free event parking:

Please slow down and watch for pedestrians throughout the village.

Warm up at Lenny's Deli! The crew will be there serving up hot breakfast and lunch from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm with a Snow Social meal special. Be sure to stop in and say hi!

Meet Gaye at the front door of the Sydenham Library Branch at 11:00 am for a guided winter bird walk. You'll be travelling to the Cataraqui Trail and taking in the sights and sounds of our regional winter bird species. 

Please dress in warm clothes and sturdy boots. Binoculars are a bonus but not required. 

Snow much fun! Dress warmly and plan on spending lots of time outside at The Point Park.

  • 11:00 am - 12:00 pm: Indigenous Teachings around the fire
  • 11:00 am - 4:00 pm:
    • Horse drawn wagon rides around the village come and go from the park
    • Hartington Equipment display and cornhole games
    • South Frontenac Stocksport Club target games
    • Fill up with food from More Smoke, Beavertails, Rocket Dogs, JP Weirdoughs, and concession stand goodies
    • Warm up around the fire pits
    • Kids ninja course with Elements Fitness
    • Inflatable fun and yard games
    • Kingston Forest and Nature School activities
    • Try out the kick sleds and snow shoes
  • 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm:
    • S'mores with the Storrington Lion's Club
    • Live music in the heated big top tent

Loughborough Public School will be the place to be for more indoor and outdoor fun! 

Outside adventures:

  • 11:00 am - 4:00 pm: Snow tube hill (tubes provided)
  • Frontenac Fury exhibition game

Indoor fun:

  • 11:00 am - 4:00 pm:
    • A vendors market with lovely local wares
    • Kids craft corner - Button making with Kathy
    • Free hot chocolate with Albion No. 109 Masonic Lodge
    • Face painting
    • Shine's henna art
  • 11:30 am and 3:00 pm: Cozy stories with our friends from KF Public Library
