A message from the Mayor 

This Remembrance Day, we pause and reflect to honour the service, courage and sacrifice of our veterans and those who continue to serve and protect our country today. 

Our municipal offices will be closed to the public on Monday, November 11 for two hours from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm to provide Township employees with the opportunity to attend a Remembrance Day Ceremony. Details on services in the Township appear below.

In this time of remembrance, we come together in gratitude and thanks for the sacrifices they gave. We remember them and pledge that the values they fought for will live on for generations to come.

Remembrance Day Activities in South Frontenac

• Sand Hill Cemetery: Remembrance Day Service starting at 10:45 am, followed by a reception at Storrington Lions Club Hall in Sunbury. Cash bar. On-site parking.
• Sydenham Cenotaph: Branch 496 Royal Canadian Legion service starting at 10:45 am. Refreshments following at the Legion at 4361 Amelia Street.
• Verona Cenotaph: Ceremony starting at 10:45 am. A light lunch will be served afterwards at the Verona Free Methodist Church.
