Gilmour Point Beach Washrooms Closed Due to Vandalism

Update: Tuesday, September 3 - The washroom facilities at Gilmour Point Beach have re-opened to the public. Some repairs will still need to be completed in the future, but much of the facilities are now in working order. We thank the public for their patience and understanding during this process. 

August 30,2024: The washroom facilities at Gilmour Point Beach, 1763 Wellington Street in Battersea, will be closed until further notice due to vandalism. Recreation and Facilities will place a portable washroom at the beach for public use until the facilities can be properly cleaned and plumbing can be replaced.

“We are disappointed to have to close the Gilmour Point washrooms due to vandalism”, says Tim Laprade, Manager of Recreation and Facilities. “Our team will work hard to have the washrooms back open as soon as possible, but unfortunately, they are not in working condition at this time.”
