Fish Creek Bridge - New Load Restriction in Effect

Please be advised that recent engineering inspections carried out in 2025 on the Fish Creek bridge (Bob’s Lake Road) have identified new structural deficiencies that warrant cautionary changes to the posted load restrictions currently seen at the crossing. 

As a result, effective Monday, March 24, 2025, the Township of South Frontenac will implement new load restrictions on the bridge that will limit the maximum weight to 5 tonnes per axle for all vehicles until the bridge replacement is completed in the summer of 2025. The new load restriction is being implemented in accordance with By-Law 2025-12 and will be subject to enforcement under the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O., 1990.
