Private Lane Upgrade Program

The Private Lane Upgrade Assistance Program provides grants for residents who live on private lanes to upgrade their lane to improve access for emergency vehicles. The 2025 application is now open. Please fill out the Private Lane Upgrade Assistance Program 2025 Form.  The Township may fund up to 50% of approved projects to a maximum of $7,000. Funds can only be used towards capital lane upgrades, not regular maintenance (see the list of eligible and ineligible items in the application).

Key dates

• Applications will open March 17, 2025
• Initial applications must be received by May 16, 2025.
• Grant application requests will be considered by Township Council on or before June 3, 2025.
• Work must be completed and receipts submitted by October 31, 2025.
