FAB Frontenac is an initiative of Frontenac Business Services with one focus: helping food and drink entrepreneurs succeed. Whether you’re looking to start a food business or want to grow and scale, they can help source financing, connect you with industry associations and organizations and help you navigate health regulations.
Frontenac Farmers Market
The Frontenac Farmers Market is a vibrant, local community-run market open Fridays from 3-7 pm from May until October. It's situated under the beautiful covered Grand Pavilion in Centennial Park in Harrowsmith, just off of a bustling commuter route. The market hosts special events throughout the summer and has strong support from the local community.
Commercial kitchens
The Glendower Hall kitchen is certified by KFL&A Public Health for commercial use. Renters are welcome to use the space to prepare their products for market. The kitchen is equipped with two stoves, a three-compartment sink, a handwashing sink, and lots of counter space. Some kitchen equipment is available for use, but renters are encouraged to bring any specialized equipment. Long-term storage is currently unavailable at the hall. Grow Ontario Market initiative
The Grow Ontario Market Initiative provides funding to primary producers, processors and industry organizations to find and develop domestic or export market opportunities. Applicants can submit up to 2 projects, where primary producers & processors can receive up to $60,000 in funding.
