Recognizing the vital role that local volunteers play in achieving South Frontenac’s strategic vision to be a community that is natural, vibrant and growing, Council is eager to host the 2020 Volunteer Appreciation Event on Saturday, November 13th, 2021. This past July, Hinchinbrooke Road was closed just North of Silver Rock Lane at Spring Lake due to a partial road collapse. While a full reopening of the road will not be possible until the spring, the Township anticipates a partial reopening of Hinchinbrooke Road at this location by the end of October 2021.

South Frontenac Funds Lake Association Projects and Launches Second Intake for Lake Ecosystem Grant Program

Following the launch of the Township’s first ever Lake Ecosystem Grant Program in July 2021, three separate projects were approved for funding at the September 7, 2021 Council meeting. With program funds remaining in the 2021 budget, the Lake Ecosystem Advisory Committee has launched a second intake for this grant.
