Sydenham Point Park Beach Safe for Swimming

KFL&A Public Health has notified the Township that Sydenham Point Park Beach at 4410 Point Rd is safe for swimming again as of 3 pm on Tuesday, July 11, 2023.

KFL&A Public Health monitors the water quality at all municipally owned or operated public beaches within the Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox & Addington region. The Health Unit requires two tests within the regulatory limits within two consecutive days to declare the water safe for swimming.

Sydenham Point Park Beach Temporarily Unsafe for Swimming

KFL&A Public Health notified the Township this afternoon (July 6) that the beach located at Loughborough Memorial Park in Sydenham at 4410 Point Rd (the Point), is currently unsafe for swimming due to unacceptable levels of E.coli in the water.

As a result, the Township is recommending residents not enter the water until KFL&A Public Health can confirm that the beach is safe for swimming again.
